Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in the heart of Hanoi's Old Town, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings at my hotel restaurant. Situated just a brief stroll from vibrant local markets, it provided an unexpected refuge of calm and comfort amidst the city's hustle. I had the pleasure of dining on a Vietnamese breakfast prepared by Madame Huong, the manager, whose dedication to regional flavors was evident. The dish wasn't merely a meal but a narrative woven with local ingredients, showcasing both tradition and innovation. The warm, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant was complemented by the attentiveness of the staff, who were well-versed in local attractions and recommendations. While the rooms were basic, they offered essential amenities, and the inclusion of free Wi-Fi made planning my explorations seamless. It's worth noting that while certain areas showed signs of age, the ambiance and culinary experiences more than compensated for this.
